The Experience
What can I expect from the event?
Reverse the Curse is an interactive VR experience like no other. You and three of your favorite friends embark on a journey through Jumanji with the mission to Reverse the Curse. Before your journey begins, your group (up to 4 people per experience) will: be introduced to your personal Adventure Guide; gear up in a haptic vest, VR goggles, and headsets; and assume a character, along with their unique strengths and weaknesses. Each participant plays an integral role in the challenge and mind-over-matter will be tested in this seriously real VR experience.
Suit up in custom oculus VR headsets and vests and transform into one of the film's characters: Dr. Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Professor Oberon and "Mouse" Finbar. Like the characters in the movie, you will be thrust into the game in a virtual reality pursuit to find the stolen jewel. Stop the spread of evil and "reverse the curse".
Where is the experience located?
Inside Wonderverse at Oakbrook Center: 2310 Oakbrook Center, Oak Brook, IL 60523
Wonderverse is located on the second floor, just above L.L. Bean. Wonderverse has a dedicated stairway and elevators for your convenience.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
This experience is held indoors in an air-conditioned venue.
How long does the experience last? (only the number)
For you to have an estimate, people usually spend 30 min at this experience.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Yes! Wonderverse offers a full-service restaurant and bar for your enjoyment before and after your adventure. No food or drinks allowed while participating in the attractions.
Is there parking available?
There will be free parking available.
Is there Virtual Reality?
Yes, Virtual Reality is brought to you by The Void: hyper immersive virtual experiences allow for you to see, move, and even feel digital worlds as if they were in fact reality. Step into virtual worlds that engage all your senses. The mists of a waterfall cool your skin as you pass. Reach out and grasp the torch before you on the wall. Lift it free and feel its heat as you light your way into the darkness ahead.
Is there a dress code?
There's no defined dress code for this experience; a casual look will be fine.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
Yes! There will be merchandise for sale at the shop.
Tickets
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
We will have a box office on site. However, tickets may be sold out by the time you arrive at the event, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance in order to guarantee your spot. You can purchase tickets in the Fever App or on the Fever website.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Do I need to print my ticket?
You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase.
You will also find your QR code in your purchase confirmation email.
I can't find my ticket. What should I do?
You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
Can I change the date of my ticket? Are refunds allowed?
This experience allows date changes up to 48 hours in advance. If you would like to make the change, please contact us and include the ticket ID associated with your purchase (What is the ticket ID?). One of our agents will respond to your request as soon as possible, informing you of the next steps to follow.
No refunds are permitted under any circumstances. For more information, you can consult our T&C.
Do you host private parties? How do I plan a party or special event?
We love to party! Please submit your inquiry to our group and event specialist by filling out the form here.
Access
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
Please arrive at the time stated on your ticket; late entry is not permitted.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in this event’s location, though we do welcome service animals.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, the event is being held in an accessible venue.
Do you offer caregiver tickets?
Entry to Wonderverse is complimentary and does not require a ticket. However, due to the nature of this experience, caregivers cannot accompany the participant into the experience without a ticket.
What are the prohibited items at the experience?
Weapons of any kind; illegal drugs or substances; outside food and beverage; flammable liquids and aerosol cans; clothing with offensive language or imagery.
Are strollers / prams allowed?
Strollers are allowed at Wonderverse, but not within the Jumanji attraction.
Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people?
Unfortunately, this experience could not be adapted for the visually and/or hearing impaired. We are doing our best to make all of our experiences inclusive and recommend that you take a look at other experiences in your city.
Will there be strobe lights?
This event won't include strobe lights.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?
This is a walkthrough experience, so there won't be any seating available.
Will restrooms be available on site?
This venue has restrooms—please ask our staff on site for indications.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
Jumanji is an active, participatory VR experience which will not allow opportunity for photos or video recordings. Guests are welcome to take and share photos and/or video of the pre and post-experience at Wonderverse. When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other guests. Professional equipment and tripods are not permitted.
Is there a Lost & Found?
We would recommend to ask the Guest Services staff at the venue if they have found your belongings. If you cannot ask them on site, please reach out at guestservice@wonderversechicago.com.
Is coat check available?
Yes, coat check is available upon entry.
Is there an age requirement?
At Wonderverse, we ask that guests under the age of 16 years are chaperoned by someone who is at least 21 years of age. To participate in the Jumanji VR experience, guests must be at least 10 years old and able to support an 18lb haptic vest/backpack.
At 8:00 PM, all guests must be 21 or older to enter Wonderverse.
